How to make a knit stitch

To make a knit stitch hold the needle with the stitches in your left hand with the first stitch near the tip. Hold the yarn from the ball and the other needle in your right hand. Insert the tip of the right needle into the first stitch of the left needle from front to back. Keep the right needle under the left and the yarn from the ball in the back.

Bring the yarn under the right needle and between the two needles.

With the right needle catch the yarn and gently pull it through the stitch on the left needle.

Slide the stitch off of the left needle leaving the newly created stitch on the right needle. Gently tug on yarn to tighten stitch on right needle.

Congratulations, you now know how to knit! Repeat these steps for all the cast on stitches.
