Charity knitting for preemies, infants and babies

It warms our hearts to see the vast number of charity knitting sites for babies, infants and children. Each year so many littles ones are in need of a comforting touch, warmth and love. By knitting something soft and snuggly we can reach out and touch them from wherever we are.

The Preemie Project comforts premature and critically ill infants and their families at The University of Iowa Children’s Hospital by giving gifts of hats, booties and blankets that have been handcrafted by a devoted group of local and national volunteers. In addition, The Preemie Project offers solace to families who are grieving a loss by providing bereavement items such as handcrafted burial layettes and tokens of remembrance. The Preemie Project uses financial contributions to supply UI Children’s Hospital families in financial crisis with basic necessities such as diapers, toiletries and clothing.

Newborns in Need, Inc.

Newborns in Need, Inc. (NIN) is a 501(c)3 charity organized to take care of sick and needy babies and their families; and in cases of crisis, to help where help is needed.

Knitting For Noggins

Help make a difference in the lives of patients and families at Arkansas Children's Hospital! Knit or crochet hats for children of all ages through our Knitting for Noggins program.

Lubas Blanket

We are a charitable volunteer organization who understands that sometimes even the simplest gift is appreciated. Luba's Blanket started as a call for help for the child victims of Hurricanes Katrina and Rita. The idea was presented by the Jewish Family Foundation. We thought it would be a wonderful program to continue on a local level.

In Russian, luba means love. The blankets are now being offered to children in hospitals as well as the elderly in nursing and rehabilitation homes. Sometimes the simplest gift of warmth, love and the idea that someone cares about you is the greatest gift of all!

Stitches From The Heart

Stitches from the Heart is an IRS approved 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that sends handmade clothing, blankets, and love to premature babies all across the nation. We also have a senior program that helps seniors help others by donating yarn and supplies.

Stitch For A Cause

Stitch for a Cause is a community service project at Kentucky Country Day School in Louisville, Kentucky.

The group knits, crochets, sews, and quilts baby blankets and apparel for several local children's agencies.

Your help is greatly needed as we rely on donations to supply yarn, fabric and other materials for crafting.

We would also welcome contributions of handmade sweaters, hats, booties, or other items that would provide warmth and comfort to needy children in the Louisville area.

Warm Hearts Warm Babies

Welcome to Warm Hearts~Warm Babies. We are a group of kind-hearted volunteers that help to make life easier for Colorado's tiniest citizens. We sew, knit, crochet, and quilt for premature infants and babies in need. We donate to hospitals, crisis pregnancy centers, shelters, law enforcement agencies, foster care, WIC offices, and individuals across much of the state of Colorado. All of our gifts are donated free of charge and 100% of what we receive in donations goes to help the babies. Please visit the links on the left to learn more about us and what you can do to help.
